According to § 13
as an you have the following obligations:Waste portable batteries
Waste portable batteries that were separated from the waste equipment by the end user prior to, or respectively, on submission of a waste equipment, must be taken back free of charge. Regardless of this you can take-back all other types of waste portable batteries voluntarily.
You must submit the collected waste portable batteries to a collection scheme that you join for at least 12 months. This connection to a collection scheme is extended by further 12 months if you do not terminate this at the latest 3 months prior to expiration of the agreed upon duration, or respectively, 3 months prior to the expiration of the minimum term.
The collection scheme must provide to you as an örE free of charge suitable collection containers and transportation containers according to the legislation for dangerous good, as well as further packaging required according to legislation for dangerous goods. The minimum pick-up amount for a pick-up free of charge is 180 kilogrammes. Lower pick-up amounts can be agreed upon with the collection scheme. Waste portable batteries must be picked up within 15 work days.

Waste automotive batteries
You can voluntarily accept waste automotive batteries. Should you decide to do so, you are obligated to recover and dispose of the collected waste automotive batteries according to § 14 BattG.
Waste industrial batteries
As örE you on principle do not have to accept waste industrial batteries. Within the scope of a third-party appointment (e.g. by producers of industrial batteries) it can be possible for you to be permitted to accept.
