CURRENT RULE: Types of equipment – determining correspondence

1. Subject of regulation

This rule determines which types of equipment of the new allocation of types of equipment correspond to the prior allocation.

2. Background

From 15th August 2018 the currently applicable 10 categories are reduced to 6 categories that differ from those so far. This redifinition of the categories (§ 2 paragraph 1 clause 1 ElektroG) makes a change of the types of equipment necessary. According to § 33 paragraph 1 clause 1 ElektroG the Gemeinsame Stelle is entitled to determine the allocation of electrical and electronic equipment to types of equipment. If electrical and electronic equipment is newly allocated to types of equipment it determines for the future which types of equiment of the new allocation of the types of equipment correspond to the prior allocation (§ 33 paragraph 1 clause 2 ElektroG).

3. Regulation

From the following tables it is possible to infer which types of equipment the existing types of equipment until 14th August 2018 correspond to those from 15th August 2018 – sorted by b2c and b2b types of equipment. The product areas were involved in this determination.

For registrations granted prior to 15th August 2018 the equivalent is valid from 26th October 2018.
